The Technical Advisor – Digital Health Data Analyst plays a key role in supporting data analysis, reporting, and visualization to inform program performance and continuous improvement.

Reporting Relationship: Senior Program Manager – Digital Health Data and Evaluation

The Technical Advisor – Digital Health Data Analyst supports measurement and learning for MCD Global Health’s digital health initiatives. This role contributes to data integration, routine monitoring, data analysis, reporting, and learning across the project’s initiatives. The Technical Advisor supports the Senior Program Manager in collecting, cleaning, merging, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative program data from multiple sources. The role is responsible for preparing clear reports, dashboards, and visualizations that communicate progress toward key outcomes and generate actionable insights. This position also supports the interpretation of findings and identification of trends to inform program adjustments, continuous improvement, and future planning across digital health initiatives.

Primary functions include supporting data merging, collection, cleaning, and quality checks; designing indicator tracking tools, dashboards, and monitoring reports; contributing to evaluations, operational research, and learning activities; and supporting donor and internal reporting with accurate, well-documented data.

This is a mid-level position requiring experience in data analysis, program evaluation, and working with quantitative and qualitative data. Strong skills in data visualization, reporting, and translating data into actionable insights are essential.

Location and Work Environment

The primary location of this position is remote within the United States. Job responsibilities require periodic travel for meetings and external engagements, including travel to Hallowell, Maine, as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Data & Evaluation

  •       Support management of program data across multiple sources

  •       Develop clear, actionable reports and dashboards tracking key outcomes

  •       Support data collection, cleaning, merging, and quality assurance

  •       Manage program evaluation data to inform planning and strategy

  •       Track training and technical assistance outcomes and recommend improvements

  • Support evaluation, operational research, and learning activities

Technical Support

  • Provide technical assistance to healthcare organizations, public health agencies, and partners

  • Stay current on digital health technologies, policies, and trends

Collaboration

  • Participate in workgroups and contribute to team objectives

  • Support a collaborative and high-performing team environment

Business Development

  • Contribute to proposal development and growth of digital health initiatives

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Required:

  • Master’s degree in public health, Statistics, Data Science, Health Informatics, or a related field.

  • Training or certification in program evaluation, data analytics, or monitoring & evaluation (M&E) preferred.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, program evaluation, or applied research.

  • Proven track record working with quantitative and qualitative data from diverse sources.

  • Experience developing dashboards, reports, and visualizations for monitoring, evaluating, and learning from program data.

  • Background in digital health initiatives or healthcare program evaluation is a strong asset.

Core Skills:

  • Data Management: Skilled in collecting, cleaning, and organizing large datasets for accuracy and usability.

  • Analysis & Interpretation: Proficient in statistical methods, qualitative coding, and mixed-methods evaluation.

  • Visualization & Reporting: Ability to translate complex findings into clear, compelling dashboards and reports.

  • Communication: Strong skills in presenting insights to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Technology: Proficiency with tools such as Excel, R, Python, Stata, SAS, NVivo, Dedoose, Tableau, or Power BI.

  • Continuous Improvement: Ability to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations for program adjustments.
