We are looking to bring on board a Program Communications Coordinator to lead the development and delivery of clear, engaging, and impactful messaging for the School Oral Health Program (SOHP). This role will oversee and manage all program communications, ensuring consistent branding, strong stakeholder engagement, and effective outreach to schools, families, and community partners across Maine. The Program Communications Coordinator will monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communications strategies, maintain quality assurance of materials, and support the program’s growth by translating data and stories into compelling content that promotes participation and celebrates impact.
The successful candidate will bring proven experience in developing and managing program communications, with strong skills in content creation, outreach strategy, and stakeholder engagement. They will be adept at translating program goals and data into clear, compelling messages and will be familiar with managing communications across multiple platforms and audiences.

Job duties:
The Program Communications Coordinator will manage internal and external communications for the School Oral Health Program (SOHP) to support outreach, education, and stakeholder engagement. Essential duties include:
a. Developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive communications plan.
b. Creating, editing, and distributing program materials including flyers, newsletters, reports, presentations, and website updates.
c. Coordinating outreach campaigns and events to raise awareness of SOHP services among schools, families, community partners, and the public.
d. Serving as the primary contact for program-related communications, responding to inquiries from schools, partners, and media as appropriate.
e. Collaborating with program staff to gather stories, photos, data, and updates that highlight program impact.
f. Ensuring all communications are consistent with SOHP’s mission, brand standards, and contractual obligations.
g. Tracking engagement metrics and preparing communications performance reports for program leadership.
h. Maintaining an organized library of communication resources, templates, and program media assets.
