We are looking to bring on board a full-time Associate Program Manager to support the MCD’s U.S. CDC National Partnerships Cooperative Agreement Strategy 1 and Strategy 2.

Under Strategy 1, MCD will provide tailored training and support to community-based organizations, public health, and healthcare professionals working in their communities to address diverse public health issues. This position will lead assigned community outreach and community-based organizations (CBO) relationships for training and technical assistance nationally.

Under Strategy 2, MCD will develop implementation resources and a guide for disability-inclusive preventive health screenings with input and feedback from subject matter experts and a Technical Advisory Group (TAG) comprised of people with lived experience. This position will support the TAG by coordinating meeting logistics, managing communications with TAG members, and coordinating IT services, ASL interpretation, and the facilitator to ensure meetings run smoothly. This position will also work with the team to develop guideline tools and resources in English and Spanish for national dissemination.

This position may also work on other programs such as training, curriculum development, and eLearning projects, including the development of community health worker outreach and training resources.

Job duties:

  • Staff a key role on the team responsible for implementation resources and a guide for disability-inclusive preventive health screenings.

  • Schedule and manage logistics for weekly Technical Advisory Group meetings via Zoom

  • Facilitate smooth meeting operations, including setting up Zoom calls, managing breakout rooms, and ensuring accessibility accommodations (e.g. live captioning, ASL interpretation, etc.)

  • Coordinate communications with TAG members, including sending meeting invitations, agendas, materials, and follow-up notes in advance and ensure all documents are accessible to all participants.

  • Compile input and feedback from members during meetings or via email between meetings.

  • Track action items and ensure follow-up on tasks assigned during meetings.

  • Collaborate with the project team to create implementation guide materials such as clinician summaries, infographics, etc. using various tools such as Articulate 360.

  • Conduct outreach for training and technical assistance for community health workers, community-based organizations and other public health professionals.

  • Engage partner organizations and embedded CHWs from diverse geographic, racial and ethnic backgrounds in the design of the curriculum to ensure the training meets the nuanced needs of various aging populations and reflects the diverse experiences of CHWs.

  • Collaborate closely with subject matter experts and training consultants

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job requirements

Knowledge, Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and three (3) years of related experience.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to develop plain language messages about complex information

  • Knowledge of the methods and techniques of disseminating health education information effectively

  • Able to develop outreach materials, training, and educational resources

  • Skilled in writing and developing content for various platforms

  • Able to direct and manage webpage development and print production products

  • Proficiency in Zoom and other distance technology applications that support online training

  • Able to give presentations about basic program information and conduct trainings for a variety of audiences

  • Able to work on multiple projects consecutively while maintaining accuracy, paying attention to detail, and meeting project deadlines

  • Able to function effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment

  • Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to manage time and multiple tasks with little supervision

  • Knowledge of or experience working with people with disabilities or on disability-inclusive projects/initiatives, improving healthcare accessibility, and community health workers/community outreach is a plus

  • Bilingual or multilingual with the ability to speak and write in Spanish is required

  • Experience with instructional design and eLearning software such as Articulate 360 and Vyond
